SARRALLE Rolling Mill celebrates a new order in US for a long and special steel manufacturer in Tennessee to engineer and provide a new Hot Charging System .
The goal of this SARRALLE’s new project will be engineer and install a new billet hot-charging system in order to send directly the billets from the Continuous Casting Machine to the Reheating Furnace , increasing the yield and reducing the emissions/natural gas consumption.
Hot Charging System improves the rolling process, obtaining an important benefit by improving the energy efficiency, lowering Reheating Furnace fuel consumption and also increasing the productivity of the line.
At the same time , this type of system will allow a better process automation and more respect for the environment. The installation of the system will allow to load hot billets into the rolling mill reheating furnace directly after exiting the continuous casting machine.
The new system will be designed in order to allow the hot or cold billet charging and will be installed in 2025 in US.
