SARRALLE Rolling Mill celebrates the new order for OVAKO Boxholm Fine Section Mills in Sweden to supply and commission a New Shear in order to attend all mix of production , grades, diameters and temperatures.
Steel has been manufactured and machined since the mid-18th century alongside the Svartån river where Ovako’s production facility is now located. Today’s modern operations are part of the SmeBox business unit, which includes the rolling mills and processing plant in Boxholm and Ovako’s steel mill in Smedjebacken. Ovako is a leading European manufacturer of engineering steel for customers in the bearing , transportation and manufacturing industries.
The goal of this new project is to replace the existing shear by a new one with better performance and reliability. SARRALLE Rolling Mill will design, manufacture , supply and commission the new share to cut the 80mm round with the highest quality requirements.
The new shear will increase the precision on head and tail cut in order to improve the ratio of material loss.
